"Do Something" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore & Tessa Rowland
Written: 2007 Arranged: 2007

This is the first song that Tessa and I have written together. It's even got a video clip =)

"Tekky" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 2000 Arranged: 2000
This is the first song I wrote on my synthesiser. It sounds ummm... electronic, happy and kinda technoish.
"Food Hell" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 1997 Arranged: 2001
This is the first real song that I wrote (if you don't include the 'mushroom song' - a song with Japanese lyrics about my hate for mushrooms). I wrote it for an assignment when I was 15 and it was performed at the school music concert, arranged with piano, 4 vocals, bass guitar, trombone and drums. The left-hand part to this song is very heavy and I think I permanently injured my hand playing it =/ I can now only play this song once without having to rest my hand. This arrangement is less extravagant than the original and has the lyrics (about a guy waking up in Food Hell, where all the food comes to life to eat him) taken out. One day... far in the future I may release a version with me singing in it =)
"Farewell" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 2001 Arranged: 2001
I started writing this song as a farewell song to Brad, who was leaving the country to live in France for a while. I didn't have it finished until he had been back in the country for a few months =P It was supposed to have lyrics but I never got around to writing them. I hate writing lyrics =/ I'd describe it as a very cutesy song =)
"Overtone" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 2002 Arranged: 2002
This is my latest song. It is supposed to be a very dark/disturbing song with dark/disturbing lyrics. I haven't gotten around to writing the lyrics and probably never will... but here's the music. Don't ask me about the titles to any of my songs... I just name them whatever comes to my head when I save it for the first time =)
"Industry" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 2001 Arranged: 2001
For those of you that know anything about music, this song holds a chord for 35 seconds at a time. This song is unfinished and probably will never get finished (knowing me) but I put it up here because it's kinda powerful and I like it =)
"Oboe Bass and Drums" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 2002 Arranged: 2002
This piece starts with Oboe. Then the drums come in. Then it ends with Oboe Bass and Drums (hence the name).
"Piano and Cello" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 2002 Arranged: 2002
Composition class at the University of Auckland is a bit shit. This piece was limited to two instruments and a specific set of notes. It extremely difficult for me since I like to just keep layering tracks onto each other. I'd like to say I learned something from the experience but I really didn't. One day I'm going to re-arrange this and add a dozen more instruments. And when I re-record it I'll get rid of all that distortion towards the end of the track.
"Piano and Orchestra" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 2002 Arranged: 2002
I started this piece with the intention of writing something dramatic. I went overboard on the swells from extremely quiet to extremely 'aaarrgh my ears!'. This is in line for a re-arrangement, but until then keep your sound system at a moderate level =)
"Three Brothers" Unpublished Work © 2007 Minoru Moore
Written: 2002 Arranged: 2002
Another assignment from the University of Auckland. We had to write a minimalist piece. The definition of minimalist music is basically a song that is repetitive with slight variations and makes you wonder why the hell you're listening to it. It's kinda like techno. =O The reason I put it up here is because it's my first and only piece that has a story behind it.

Three brothers get lost in a forest. Smart brother, quick brother and fat brother. As a storm approaches the brothers are looking for each other. Smart brother spends his time tracking quick brother and so eventually the two instruments representing these guys will meet up and hop along merrily out of the forest. Fat brother (the piano) isn't so lucky and gets struck by lightning at the end of the song.
